Queensland has a new child safeguarding law —the Child Safe Organisations Act. It aims to protect Queensland children from harm when they interact with businesses and organisations.

Queensland Representing Australia Abroad

July has been a busy month for Judo in Australia, and a proud month for Queensland to have 14 athletes contributing to those travelling teams competing in the Pacific, Europe, and Asia.

Another Successful CAF Course!

Another successful day for Judo Qld Coaching Accreditation was wrapped up with great energy and enthusiasm. Coaches from Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and NSW came together to further their skills and knowledge, contributing to the continued growth of CAF accredited coaches in Judo Qld.

Notice of National High Dan Grading

Judo Australia’s National Grading Committee is offering a 4th Dan and above grading for eligible members as part of the 2025 National Championships being held on the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre in Carrara.

Judo Queensland Leadership Announcement

After serving five consecutive years as Chair, Paul De Brincat has stood down for work-related reasons. Paul has been a Board Member of JQ for the past 8 years and will continue as such, concentrating on NQ development.
