2026 Futures Cup 4 @ Ohori Judo Club

Part of the Judo Queensland South East Queensland Judo 4 Kids series hosted by Ohori Judo Club

Open to all eligible Judo Queensland & Judo Australia U7, U9 and U11 members. This is an ideal opportunity for less experienced players to play against people from other clubs in their own weight and age categories, thereby gaining valuable competition knowledge and competence.

Beginners are encouraged to enter!

Weigh-in

• U7 and U9 weigh-in will take place from 8:00 am - 8:30 am 
• U11 weigh-in will take place from 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Competition Start Times

• U7 and U9 divisions will start at 9:00 am.  
• U11 will start no earlier than 11:00 am. 

Sporting Code

The 2026 Futures Cup 4 will make use of the modified Judo Australia U7, U9 and U11 sporting code. Judoka will be matched with up to 5 other players of similar weights, with a maximum weight difference of 15%. The vast majority of matches will be between children closely matched in size – the smaller age range will mean a generally smaller weight range.
Boys and Girls will compete in separate categories in all age divisions.
There are no minimum grade requirements for the event.
Contest duration for all divisions will be 2.5 minutes with 1 minute of golden score.
Contests will be decided via the 'standard' IJF scoring system.
