Judo Queensland is excited to announce an exclusive Nage no Kata seminar led by 7-time World Champion Takayuki Yokoyama from Setsunan University.

The seminar will be held on Saturday, 29th of August, from 9 AM to 3 PM at Shin Gi Tai, located at U1, 65 Boyland Ave, Coopers Plains.

The cost to attend is $25 (payable on the day of the event)

This event is open to all judoka aged U13 and up. Please note that all participants are required to wear a white judo gi; blue judo gis are strictly not permitted.

It is strongly advised that anyone planning to undertake their dan-grading in November for Shodan, Nidan, or Sandan attends this highly beneficial seminar to refine their skills.

Takayuki Yokoyama, is a 6th Dan and an A-grade coach of the All Japan Judo Federation.

A graduate of Tsukuba University, he currently serves as an Associate Professor at Setsunan University and brings extensive coaching experience from the USA and around the globe.

Performing Nage no Kata with Michito Sakamoto, Yokoyama is a 7-time World Judo Kata Gold medalist (2011, 2012, 2014–2018) and a 2-time Asia Judo Kata Gold medalist. He also famously performed in the Nage no Kata exhibition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
